Log into remove.bg with your API key

To log into remove.bg you will need an API key. An API key is a unique identifier used to authenticate users and connect the PowerPoint add-in to the remove.bg service.

Learn how to get yours in a few simple steps:

1. Install the add-in

Once installed, select the Remove Background button in the Home tab then Log in to be guided through the steps below.

2. Create an account

Go to the remove.bg website to create a free account and confirm your email.

3. Create your API key

Go to your remove.bg account dashboard.

Then go to the API Keys tab and click the New API key button.

Create an API key (and optionally name it*), then copy it and return to PowerPoint to log in.

4. Log into remove.bg

Click Paste from clipboard then Log in. Your account will now be connected and you can start using remove.bg

*remove.bg allows you to create multiple API keys. You could implement one key per user, or a key for each group of users or a single key for an entire organisation. Using multiple keys provides you with better control, should you need to remove access for a user/group at some point.
